Standing Mile Record! Twin Turbo Ford GT

Hofman Motorsports and Heffner Performance have broken the standing mile record in their Twin Turbo Ford GT, with a blistering pass of 266.9 mph!

The internet rumor mill says that this car has already made 2200 rwhp, but was 'turned down' to 1450 rwhp for this pass!

The previous record was set just a few weeks earlier, at 252 mph, by another TT Ford GT (link here).

World's Fastest EVO - Standing Mile Record Broken AGAIN

Worlds fastest Mitsubishi, Period.
A few stats on the car:

1994 Mitsubishi EVO II owned by Mike Reichen
4G63 Motor - 1000 whp at 40 psi
2750 race weight with driver - full interior, glass windows, carpet, etc.
The word on the street is that it's registered and insured in its home state of Illinois!

On April 10, 2010, these guys went out to the Hot Rod Magazine Street Car Standing Mile Challenge.

Apparently the shakedown pass was on 'low boost' and netted a trap speed of 202 mph.  Then, the boost was turned up and by the end of the day they had a timeslip that read 237 mph.  That makes this car the world's fastest EVO, world's fastest Mitsubishi, and world's fastest standing mile 4-cylinder(car), period!
